Raspberry Thyme Adaptogenic Mocktail

Makes about 8 1 oz servings

Ingredients

  • ½ cup of raspberries
  • 1 lemon sliced (or a ¼ cup of juice)
  • 1 orange sliced (or a ¼ cup of juice)
  • 2 tsp of thyme
  • 2 tsp of astragalus
  • 1 cup of filtered water
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • ½ cup of apple cider vinegar or kombucha

Instructions

There are 2 methods to make a drink like this: heat accelerated like a tea or slow drawing like a simple concoction.

    Heated Directions:

    • Step 1: Mix all ingredients (except honey and ACV/kombucha) in a small pot of water. Heat on med-low for 15 minutes.
    • Step 2: Strain and squeeze out all the juices. Then, add the honey and ACV/kombucha to mix thoroughly.
    • Step 3: Pour into shot glasses for a fun little mocktail hour!

    OR

      Slow Drawing Directions:

      • Step 1: Heat water to boiling.
      • Step 2: Then, mix all ingredients (including the now hot water) in a 1 quart jar with a lid (squeeze the citruses as you put them in).
      • Step 3: Shake the jar a few times and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. You can strain it if you prefer just the liquid after that, or just go ahead and pour!

      Notes

Tip: If you do this slower method, you can reuse the fruit and herbs for another round (albeit slightly weaker). Refrigerate until used. It will last about 2 days.
